COURAGE AND FEAR IN LEADERSHIP

Leadership regularly requires courage but that is not the same as the absence of fear. If courage meant no fear then most leaders would be cowards. In this Article I argue that one of the big challenges which faces many leaders is their fear of fear. They could be bigger and better leaders if they had more effective ways of dealing with this fear. Mindfulness is one of the practices which can help, as well as a concerted effort to change the thinking which is driving the fear. This is one of the most read articles in our collection.
