THE SECRET LIFE OF ORGANISATIONS

This article first appeared in the Business Spectator. Here I argue that helping people to work really well together and to bring out the best in each other is a critical piece of the leadership work. But many groups and organisations have a secret life - a whole range of unhealthy dynamics - which they try to sweep under the carpet. Leaders need to understand these and try to bring them to the surface and change them.
