WEEK 7 MINDFULNESS FOR LEADERS, "INSIGHT AND REFLECTION"

Hi Folks, welcome to the Week 7 instalment of our ten week Podcast Course on Mindfulness, Meditation and Reflection for Leaders and Managers. The focus this week is on Reflection and the Art of Thinking Well, which is one of my four Pillars of great and successful leadership. Thinking well shapes reality and shapes action, but a lot of thinking is automatic and fairly low quality. and requires reflection, mindfulness and de-cluttering in order to support our leadership. I explore some exercises by Craig Hassed from the Medical Faculty at Monash University, and from one of his earlier publications Know Thyself: The Stress Release Program. I also respond to a question from last session on the notion of "suspending judgement" to enhance teamwork, and more can be found about this in the writings of Bill Isaacs and Otto Scharmer former colleagues at MIT.
