SAM GREEN, CEO AT CITY OF PLAYFORD

Sam Green is the CEO at the City of Playford in South Australia, and a former participant of our leadership programs. In this interview he discusses the challenges of managing one of the fastest growing Local Government Areas in Australia. There are the development issues arising from the interface between the urban and semi-rural border, as well as the future of manufacturing and jobs in the region. Sam talks about the redevelopment of the old General Motors’ site at Elizabeth, and he discusses his own leadership journey and transition from what he calls the parenting model to the partnering model of leadership.
